opened the form as a table, but there where no deleted records. searched the memo fields in the file ( specifically the procedure that is apparently errorious ), and nothing.

the Error file does have line numbers in it; where do these start from so i can trace to the exact location that it says is a problem? ( I counted the lines in the Procedure memo field, and the lines numbers that are in the error file match up with the init method, not the updatecursor method that vfp says the errors are in )

>If the code is in a class library or form, try opening the class (or form) as a table and PACKing it. Backups first, of course. And in this case, put the backups on another drive so you KNOW they won't be included? < grin >
