Jim,

I have both creative and critique type of mind, so I can quickly see problems or holes in somebody's code (not that easy in my own, hate to admit) and I can generate lots of suggestions (usually having in mind actual implementation of them).

I also like to make a "perfect" GUI with all nice features implemented (record highlighting, sord by header doubleclick, quick search in grid, all these little kind of things) and I also notice lots of minor details, which I like to be fixed in my applications.

It's not always fit in deadlines and priorities, unfortunately...

>Well, as I said before, I would feel that I did my part and that is all I can do. The boss seems to have other priorities and it is always more practical to make the boss' priorities your priorities too.

I admit that I LIKE to have any suggestions that I make implemented too, but I certainly don't let it get to me if they are not. I console myself with having tried and I forget about it and move on. It never stops me from trying the next one either.

After all, they probably represent an intrusion to existing plans and deadlines. The best alternative might be to find a job doing MAINTENANCE, but most people dread that idea with even more passion than you have for your suggestions.

If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
