I took a Masters Class from Segovia, Summer of 1963, at U.C. Berkeley. I still play a bit of calssical on guitar (lots on piano). About the Masters Class: The manager for Segovia sat each applicant down in an audition room and placed a piece of unknown music on the music stand and said: "Play"! If you could play to his liking you were in. That was the easy part. Then there was Segovia, who taught himself how to play guitar and to be polite, should not have been attempting to teach others.
