Playing a musical instrument is great fun and seems to be important for development of childern. I taught our son and daughter a number of instruments including piano, flute and guitar.

I made my piano debut with friend and Clarinetist Richard Stoltzman, in San Francisco when we were both about nine years old, at a school function. We went to grammar and junior high together until his family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, when his father was transfered. Richard lived about a block away from me. Interesting how kids “turn out”.
