David,

how are you "sending" the codes to the printer? I have to do similar stuff all the time and do not have the problem you are describing. Post the code you are using and I'll look at it. You should be aware that you probably want to set the Epson printer up as a "GENERIC" text printer under windows; don't use a driver if you are sending a text print stream. If you install a Windoze driver for the printer and then send to that driver, you may experience the problem you are having.
