Yes, it probably would be a best advice along with using views instead of set filter approach. I gathered from your other posts, that you somehow limited to use "old style" of programming, but you can read bunch of threads here and you'll see the opinion, that p-views are much better. Or, at least, SET KEY. Take a look into recent "Filtered Grids" thread.
