Hi Nadya - thanks for your reply. I placed a SET EXACT ON just before the ASCAN check and that seemed to improve the accuracy of the check in the IDE (I am getting technical now!!!) but launching the program across a network I can still log users in when they are already in.

Would the problem be that I am running the same exe that creates the object and array etc. What I mean is does an exe recreate objects each time it is run? Do you have to test if the object already exists each time it's run etc?

As you can tell I am fairly new to all this!
