You can make it more difficult for decompilers by using a hardware "dongle" that encrypts your exe file at distribution time and decrypts it when loading it into memory (assuming that a dongle is present on the client's computer).

While nothing is 100% safe, it makes it more difficult as the exe file cannot be decompiled before it is decrypted.
