>>>I've finally entered the 21st Century. This weekend I've retired my main home PC, a Pentium II, 133 with 32 MB RAM and a 20 Gig drive and Windows 98. I now have a 1.2 Gig Athlon, 512MB RAM, DVD, 40 Gig HD, and Win2K Advanced Server. Now I'm trying to use all the power!

>>Whoah, sweet. I am still on an AMD K6-2 400mHz with 64 MB RAM. A little bit pokey for Office XP and Windows 2000. I am tempted to upgrade now, but perhaps I'll wait for Windows XP to be releases then upgrade.

>RAM is soooooo cheap these days (just bought 256meg PC133 for $99.) that you might do yourself a very big favour by upgrading it's RAM - if it can take more and if it's the cheap stuff that it can take).

>PS Did you ever buy a laptop, and if so, which one?
Every year I swear I will buy one, but I haven't yet. Got one assigned at work that I can use on the weekends and at conferences. That should control my urge to buy my own for a few years.
Oh... on that from, I have a new Compaq iPaq Pocket PC. I bought a keyboard for it, and it is almost like a laptop. Just need to someone justify the wireless web connection.
