I understand your point. I should have been more specific. I give them multiple textboxes to narrow their search. What I meant was that you could end up with a million entries in the listbox if you didn't narrow your search.

I do have a primary textbox that they can use to narrow their search down to one or a few by ID or by last name beginning letters. And I also have several other textboxes where they can enter eye color, hair color, social security number, address, etc. to narrow the search that way if they don't have an ID or name to go on.
