Think of CHRSAW() too;
I think I do the same as you want. So, with CHRSAW() I check the keyboard buffer, and if I want to put in something there (LIFO) this now is allowed; when CHRSAW() gives tru, I read out the buffer with Inkey(), remember the keystrokes, put in my LIFO-characters, and put in the remembered characters.
Something like that ?
