Raymond: sorry for the time-delay - I don't get much time these days.

I'm doing maintenance on an app, wherein I discovered this same problem.
Since the code there was only changing some of the pictures, I just set the picture property in the listbox init, and all the pictures show OK. If you try to reset them, in a loop perhaps (which is what this app was doing), they reset back to the default after you hit the limit.

I found I could start at any part of the list, and change the picture for less than the 60, and it would work.

This suggests a really awkward kind of way to get around it, but I didn't need to, so I haven't tried it.
