After copying over the current GENPD.APP with an original from the install disks, and the disk i/o error goes away but is replace by the Printer Driver Setup dialog, with no ability to set up a printer driver. I think the problem is because printer driver info such as the definition of the "GENERIC" driver are stored in genpd.app. The problem then, is how can I create a new "GENERIC" driver that won't cause the I/0 error.

GENPD.APP stores information regarding the printer driver (the name) in the FOXUSERW resource file. If the CONFIG.FPW file is pointing to the D: drive it may be trying to create the resource file.
