Computer books and articles at one time were concise and included good examples. Such an approach is to me to be preferred, as I have an engineering background. If I want to read “War and Peace”, that is a different story. Today, it seems to be more important to generate volumes of verbiage and not include real examples.

Sometimes I think that the authors of many so-called technical articles have forgotten the subject, presume you know everything, they know little or perhaps they know nothing. If it is the latter then it is the blind leading the blind.
