I've been struggling with reports that lock up computers. Last week I downloaded VFP 6.0 SP5, recompiled, and thought that would fix the problem. Alas, a computer locked up again yesterday. Previously (before the SP5 DL) I had copied the runtime files into my user's windows/system directory (vfp6enu.dll, vfp6r.dll, vfp6renu.dll). Since I have so many users, I didn't copy any new runtime files to their systems -- I was hoping a new build of the EXE under SP5 would do the trick. Before I go to the trouble of copying new runtime files to every user's systems directories, I thought I'd ask if that is neccessary or if I should look elsewhere for a solution. I know there are a great deal of postings about this problem, but I haven't seen anyone talk about this specific aspect (copying new runtime files).
