I think rather than Visual FoxBasic (VFB), what you want for this
application is Visual FoxBasic for Applications (VFBA). VFBA is probably
best suited to mimic the "look and feel" of Access. I had a beta a while
back (build date 04/01/97) and it started choking on tables that had more
than 20,000 records, just like Access. It also seemed to have similar
performance traits as Access when more than 4 or 5 users attempted to
utilize the application at the same time. Unfortunately, Visual FoxBasic
for Applications has suffered from a curious lack of marketing from
Microsoft. I've started to suspect that this apparent snub might be due
to reports of a horrible new macro virus which can attach itself to your
database tables.
