One of my company's apps uses Crystal Reports for our hard-copy reporting. We create a Crystal Reports application object as a local memory variable whenever we run a report. We populate the appropriate stuff (fields, parameter fields, etc), run the report, get out of CR and (explicitly) release the memory variable that held the CR app object.

After running a CR report, the app GPFs with a C5. The GPF doesn't occur immediately after the CR report has been released, rather it occurs sometime during navigation through the app. The point of the memory error varies depending upon machine and OS. The only constant is that the memory error occurs sometime after creating, running and releasing the CR application object.

Anyone have any experience with this?
