A company I went to work for gave me a project to "fix" a delivered VFP application. For six months it worked and then - #%&@*** - the customer blew up right after the application developed a problem. Seems someone put a call from a valid to a method containing a setfocus. It worked all that time and then "gave me something to do"! This was not the only time I have seen such a problem. That is why I call them "soft failures"! It shows up down the road but not right away. Some programmers know better but do this kind of thing and after talking to them it seems they just wanted to get the application finished and took a chance. If it works at my computer it must be alright?
