I guess my point is that you had better find/fix the problem or your replacement may well suffer the same fate.

I agree if you cannot fix the present problem it may cause the same or similar result with a new system. Things to be concerned about are Networks (drivers, updates, routers, hubs, cables, etc.) Using Stonefield Database? Hardware problems? Lord, the list goes on and combined by a "less than perfect application", anything goes!
