Thanks for the suggestions. I tried to save the query as one long name and it still thinks the last part of the name is a missing variable. I tried using single and double quotes around the name and got the same result. I really don't understand why Foxpro is looking at the saved name in conjunction with variables. Is there any place to tell Foxpro to accept "long names" versus "short name"?
