My thanks to all who responded. I'll need to look at the options and figure out which will work the best.

We have applications (about 60 of them) written in all 3 flavors of Foxpro.....2.6DOS, 2.6Win, and VPF. I've written a shell system in VFP that puts all the apps on a menu and allows the user to run any app from the menu....even if it is a 2.6 app (even has an administrative page that allows the managers to select which apps appear on each of their users menus). But need to find a way that will prevent the app from being started multiple times. I can turn off the menu item when it is selected, but figuring out when to turn it back on is the trick.

Thanks again,

Bill
