Tom,
>>Hmmm... for the life of me, I can't remember the name of my first word processor. It was from IBM and probably shipped with the PCjr. Anyone? I ended up working with WordStar (ugh!) and AmiPro, which I loved. Eventually, like everyone else, I was forced to use MS Word by the corporate entities, but it's not so bad.

>I liked Word Star on my S-100 Bus Computer, with 8" floppies. It made the text editor in CPM (EdLin) look sick! It provided everything I needed as a word processor (^KS, etc) and did not have the damn paper clip that Word has! Also, it did not try to "second guess" me as to what I was doing! It only had two files - a com and an ovl. I had version 0.92. Gee - whatever happened to version 1.0?

Plus, if you were adventurous, you could customize it from the install screen (if memory serves). You could enter Hex code locations and values directly.
Actually for its day it was very advanced.
Best,
