We used to run ten users on a Z80 Oasis OS-based system. Our S-100 system had capacitors about 3-4 inches across and several inches high. Occassionally the technician at the factory that built ours (who was color blind) would get the wires crossed and when they'd do a smoke test a regulator would go
"Bang!" and shoot across the warehouse... <g>
The Z-family line of chips is still out there I think. Mostly control processors I'd imagine.
