Well, it'd mean "get your eyelids as closed as possible while still maintaining your vision... eventually the () will look like [] and it will become a character expression" :)

OTOH, this won't confuse VFP and it will still complain. It (she?) never winks, and thus doesn't let you express your character except in a true character expression. (I love English, you can achieve almost any sort of confusion with it :)
