Ah, it's coming back now. "IBM Writing Assistant" was the name. It wasn't very advanced feature-wise, but very easy to use. It was perfect for spitting out documents to my dot-matrix printer, which amazingly could print in both directions <g>. It was bundled with "Filing Assistant", which I never used. Hmmm... the first "office" suite?

I was only about 14 or 15 at the time, learning to program PC-BASICA on my PCjr cartridge, punching in games from Compute! magazine, wishing that I was PEEKing and POKEing somewhere besides my computer <g>. The good ole days.
