I am using the "rename" command in an application to name files according to a customer specification. The only problem is that the names are created using lower case. The customer wants to preserve the case they way they enter it in the application.

Does anyone have a simple solution to this problem? I assume it might be possible using the Windows API but I do not know how.

A related issue is that if the user goes and tries to rename a Pagemaker file from Windows Explorer it appears to accept mixed cases but when they move to another file the name goes back to lower case. Any ideas about why this is happening?
