Dear all,
Please accept my apology if this forum is not appropriate for my question below.
I am using VFP6 SP5 as a client, and ORACLE 8.05 as my server. I am using ODBC driver supplied by ORACLE as a connection between VFP6 & ORACLE. My problem is that I want to save large strings (4K or more) into oracle. If I use LONG type in ORACLE, everything is fine. But, since LONG type can only be accessed sequentially, I think (IMO) it will be slower. Then I change it into CLOB. Problem is that I can't save all the strings into this type of field. It seems that ORACLE only save small part of the string (100 chars or so). What could be the problem?

Thanks in advance.
