Chuck;

Your relationship with some Universal Thread members is let us say “not positive”. The reason may be similar to a husband and wife who at some time during their marriage had difficulty with their relationship. Someone did something, the other reacted and years later the original reason for the conflict was forgotten. But the fight goes on!

I recall several months ago your constant negative comments about your work environment and the people you work with. You make mention that you should be made a senior programmer. You asked questions about Visual FoxPro and I believe some people reacted to your attitude as you expressed it here on the Universal Thread.

Now, if others who call themselves “Christian”, really followed their faith, they would forgive you for whatever it is that they think you did to be offensive. My experience is that in reality, society does not forgive – it likes to punish and “push it in your face”! Society never forgets! Just like an elephant.

There is nothing wrong with asking questions – sometimes even the correct answer is difficult to understand and a reply back might include: “why”? I have not seen any negative comments from you concerning your “work mates” in some time. To me that is good and I would suggest you keep on that path. Anyone with a web browser can read your messages so letting the world know your inner thoughts is not always the best idea.

By the way, I have worked as an electronic technician, electronic engineer and programmer, for about 40 years. I have met many who thought they could walk on water and were born with infinite knowledge. In reality that is not true and they had few if any social skills. How people treat you in great part has to do with how you treat yourself and others.

Tom
