Duties:
The programmer, senior, Must be responsible for analyzing functional applications and design specifications for functional areas. Develops block diagrams and logic flow charts, translates detailed design into computer software. Tests, debugs and refines computer software to produce the required product. Prepares required documentation, including both program level and user level documentation. Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. The senior programmer may supervise a staff of programmers in support of the application development.

Qualifications:
BS Degree in Computer Science MIS, Math, or a related quantitative field or practical equivalency. Practical equivalancy is extensive hands-on experience utilizing high level programming languages in on line applications using relational DBMS, 6 years minimum
General experience:
Must have 5 yrs. experience designing and programming on-line multi-CPU network MISs utilizing high level programming languages and object oriented technology, such as C, C++, a +GL, COBOL, PowerBuilder, FoxPro, Visual FoxPro or Visual Basic, in a relational DBMS environment. This is in addition to the practical equivalency.
Specific experience:
Within the general experience requirement, 2 years experience programming in C++.

Within the general experience requirement, 1 year experience programming using UNIX, MS-DOS, or current Windows operating system.

Within the general experience requirement, 1 year experience supervising a team of programmers.

In addition to the general experience requirement, 1 year experience in GUI screens and object based programming in a client-server architecture utilizing RDBMS technology.

Specific experience may be concurrent unless it is an addition to the general requirement.
