Hi Mike -

What I think a lot of VFP people would be surprised at is how interested many VB people are to learn more about VFP. There is no "war" from the VB side.
Markus and I have been to several VB User Groups where he has given various talks about XML, COM, BizTalk etc. Often he uses Fox as the platform for the demos. There has actually NEVER been anyone who has said anything negative about the fact that he used Fox and not VB, and in fact many times the VB'ers end up asking about VFP, it's capabilities and especially about the command window!
I think Nancy's suggestion is a good one, and I think VFP people would be surprised at the reation...

>>I'm just kinda curious...do you yourself frequent non-VFP venues such as user groups, subscribe to VBPJ, for example? Perhaps you could make a presentation to a VB user group on what you're doing with VFP?

>No, I'm not into VB at all. I occasionally use the FrontPage newsgroups, but aside from that my world is as close as possible to 100% VFP. I agree it's a good strategy to be bringing VFP to the attention of the VB world, and I see that you did a fine job of that in your Guest Opinion for VBPJ on 12/2000 (http://www.vbpj.com/upload/free/features/vbpj/2000/12dec00/go0012/go0012.asp). It wasn't exactly a pitch for VFP, but any mention of FoxPro before that audience is the best marketing we've seen in long time.
