I went back and forth about whether or not to see it...I thought some of the effects were pretty good, actully.

yep, that, for one. one related theory that I've heard (from someone who knew someone who worked in the code breaking dept. in DC) is that at least some in the govt. knew there was going to be some kind of attack...and that it would have the effect of mobilizing the US public into getting behind the war effort.
I sure never knew much about Doolitte's raid, and now I'm interested in learning more...
