Curtis,
>I watched Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon last night. Not very impressed. I could line up a dozen Jackie Chan flicks I'd rather have watched.
I enjoyed C-T-H-D much more the second time I saw it (both on a big screen). I'd heard so much about the stars doing their own stunts, etc., and then the flying through the air got in my way.
Have never seen a Jacie Chan movie...
>I was left with one burning question at the end. The younger sister (Showloon?) flies through the entire movie, but then she at the end she's trudging up the stairs to the top of the mountain. Why?
Maybe she only flies when fighting? ;-) she had to ride the horse to retrive the antidote to the poison (but, then, maybe horses are faster than flying).
bigger question for me is: why did she jump? how could her lover have his wish come true (to live in the desert w/her) if she jumped and went on forever (if I remember this clearly...I saw it last about 4 months ago).
A Chinese friend said that it was a typical Chinese story...
