My first trip in 1991 was with a friend to Europe after finishing university. We each had a one-way ticket, no guidebooks and only a vague plan of circumnavigating the globe. We ended up bumming around Europe for 3 months sleeping in train stations, school yards and sometimes even a campground. We parted ways in Barcelona, he headed to Turkey and Pakistan and I headed to Morocco. Ended up staying 3 months there. Highlights of the trip:
- hiking the coastal trail in Wales
- sleeping a castle turret in Pamplona
- getting lost in Fez
- breakfast sitting on a tin bucket in the Marakesh market
- seeing the Effiel Tower
