Yep, my very first hunch was that it's faster. So must be ...

Can I be right on my oponion that "somehow" the view of the threads is a little more confusing (can't sompare with the old style anymore). I mean, somehow it now explicitly shows more structure, while it remained the same. It's hard for me to bring this in writing, but the more depth in the treeview now suggests too much that messages on the same level belong to the same thread, while they (still) aren't. I think in the former view it was more "logic" that they didn't belong to eachoter. Am I wrong ?

Last small personal comment : The height is more needed than the width, while the height is less now. Of course we can gain on the width of the text (like this one) as long as there is no < crlf >, but a text shouldn't be too widthty (too much eye-movement).
But I guess this is personal.

Note it's possible now to give the editor more width which seems useful.
