Am I correct in stating that there is not a way to return just the date (mm/dd/yyyy) portion of a date/time column as a date data type?

>actually, I did mean DTOC because Doug only wanted the date portion returned. DTOC(DATETIME()) will return just the date portion as CHAR. TTOC will return the whole DATETIME as CHAR.
