Hi Robin,
I made the same decision about 9 months ago, so I started looking around for "European" or "International" jobs on Jobserve and Here on UT
I found a few that looked interesting mostly contract positions but a few full time as well
If you want to go to the states (or here in Switzerland) then you are into a visa situation. My advice to is to go somewhere in europe for a few months - then use that as a stepping stone out to somewhere else.
the first move out of the country is the hardest.. after that it becomes easier (Once you have got rid of car,house/flat,electricity bills etc etc etc.)
There is also this new Visa process for getting into the states if you have $2100 they can get you in within 15 days... but you also need a job first.
When I was looking, there was quite a bit of work in Belgium & Amsterdam
To be honest, from my experience I can heartily reccomend it, I'm really enjoying it out here in and plan to stay outside of the UK when finished here.
