Hi,

Sorry if the question may sound inadequate, but what are the differences between C# and C++? When should one use C# or C++? That could turn into an alternative to VFP? If so what are the advantages?

I'm asking this because I see here and elsewhere more and more people using C++, and people developing large systems using C++ too. Also, I see more and more need to deal with C/C++ (or whatever) in order to understand techniques that are a bit more sofsticated than plain vanilla VFP code. I could notice that the more proficient people using VFP have knowledge of C (also seen on their resumes and home pages).

What I am missing? To make part of next years devellopers' market must I start learning/using some of these languages/tools?
