>>Well Robert's job is somewhat a mystery to many of us. He was last titled something along the lines of 'Product Development Manager for VS' and prior as directly related to VB in some capacity.
>>He does not seem to be a MEMBER of the VFP Team and seems not to have been one for some time. I acknowledge that he shows up at DevCon and such but guess that it is simply because the VFP community "knows" him and his passion for VFP and MS lets him appear for its own reasons.

>Robert is very much a member of the Fox team. He also has responsiblities for other areas too. So, he isn't a devoted resource. I'm not sure what percentage of his time is devoted to VFP.

Craig,
This complaint about VFP Marketing has gone on for several years now. Let's agree that VFP 5 and 6 were far better advertised than VFP 3. Not "marketed" but advertised.

The complaints have not abated. In fact, they have grown stronger!

We wanted and needed more MARKETING of VFP both inside and outside of MS and so what does MS do for us - they give Mr. Green more responsibilities to dilute his efforts for VFP! THANK YOU MS! We have been really well served by that illustrious move. And some of his responsibilities are for products that are widely viewed as competing with VFP. Thanks again, MS.

Since Mr. Green still has responsibility for VFP Marketing and since it is widely viewed that VFP marketing just hasn't worked so far, and since Mr. Green has responsibilities for other products too NOW, we should expect things to get better?

That's a hard one to swallow.
