Just tried it out of curiosity. Automatic doesn't make a difference. I get the same message. It's really not a big deal. The only time I go to another page and come back is by accident, and then I can use the "today" button to get everything back.

If you really want to help me, how about making some bigger buttons so I don't have to try and hit such a tiny target? :)
