Well, even thou I am 60 she wasn't so bad looking, either! :)
But, the plot was boring and predictable, the acting wasn't too good either.
It reminded me of family movies: Here we are at a farm, Here we are at a training school, Here we are in a battle over Britian, Here we are at Perl Harbor, Here we are bombing Tokyo, and finally, Here we are as a family...almost a portrait.

The special effects were almost there. How ever, to many explosions were napthalene with out real blast effects. When 250LB of HE goes off you don't get gently rising orange fire balls. I thought some of the copy-cat scenes were to blantant, like the men stuggle under the surface being hit by machine gun rounds the make trails through the water as they pass through them, with the water turning red....

Saving Private Ryan was a much better "this is how it was movie" and the plot was better, the acting was MUCH better, and no pretention. If your eyes were full of tears at the closing scenes in SPR then you don't understand what WWII was about.
