I'm trying to insert data from a SQL table into an Excel file via ADO (Jet Oledb). It works fine until the string to be inserted has more than 255 characters.

The following error is produced:

"The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. Try
inserting or pasting less data."

Does anybody know of a way around this problem? Is it not possible to use ADO to insert fields with more than 255 characters into an Excel worksheet?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
