VFP BACKEND (VFP ODBC)

I have a remote view connect to VFP BACKEND by VFP ODBC.

When I download the data, if the source data date field is empty, the remote view will return funny date eg.30/12/1899.

Please help.

It is a good pratice to use VFP BACKEND (remote view by VFP ODBC)?
