IMO you *must* look at things wronly, because the versions really have their own locations for the FoxUser files.
Maybe if the FoxUser isn't there, it creates it in a (by both versions) shared dir ?
I think there is some SYS() which shows where it really is, and for sure you can direct it explictly in code to a location (sorry, don't know by heart).
I use both versions all the time at one PC (well, FPD2.5 and VFP5.0).
