I normally won't guess at an answer, but this guess seems logical, so I'll take a chance... :)

The old Fox had character limits on variables. Probably also on procedures. I think it's not differentiating between the two and taking the first one it finds.

>P.S. I have tried running the program in Visual FoxPro and it works OK. Pity I can't keep it in Visual.
