Are you sure we landed on the moon? :)

Beyond a shadow of a doubt. The corner reflecter left there by Apollo ?? is still being used to track the recession of the Moon away from the earth. We can resolve radar reflections from the landers left there. The Russians tracked the vehicles as they progressed toward the moon, just as we tracked theirs. Had we been faking it the Russians would have blown the whistle big time.

Ok, so the special was on Fox and therefore loses a great deal of credibility even before watching it. But to this non-scientist, the arguments were rather convincing. I'm not ready to say we didn't land there, but the idea of it all being a hoax isn't as crazy to me as it used to be...

Considering that both the TCL and Discovery channel both played that "special"
I don't think the Fox was being out of line or any more unjournalistic than the rest. The movie, Capricorn One, is probably the biggest 'proof' that folks 'feel' when they think moon landings might have been faked.

They primary arguments were ad hoc, combined with a lot of scientific ignorance, and very similar to those used by the Flat Earth Society to prove the Earth was flat or the Hollow Earth Society, which uses the same argument. Do you know why the toes of your shoes curl up? Because you are walking on the inside of a hollow sphere!! :)

>>I'm not so sure. After all, it been about 1/3 of a century since we landed on the moon and now all we are doing is a tinker-toy "space station" for publicity while we try to figure out how to get into space more efficiently.
