I'm using SQLEXECUTE to update a table on an AS/400. The record I am trying to update is in use, which prevents the update from happening. This is fine, but I won't find out the record is in use until after 60 seconds when the error is finally returned. The timeout is set at 15 seconds, but doesn't seem to have any effect. The 400 has the QQRYTIMOUT set at *NOMAX so I can't figure out why 60 seconds is the magical number.

Does any one have any experience with this issue?
