I live in Silicon Valey, near San Jose and south of San Francisco. My wife is from Peru and we have many friends from Chile. This is the last place in the United States I would recommend anyone to live. It is very expensive to live here and we have more than our share of problems, including electric, natural gas and water shortages. We have no shortage of people though.

Being near friends and family makes life better - there is no question about that.
