I've done a little experimenting:
I have just set up a one line program, and made it into an app:
All it has is one line: Wait Window 'aaaaa'
This runs ok from command window (The Microsoft Visual Foxpro window shows)
If I run from a dos prompt, the wait comes up, but thats all !!, No VFP window
I set up a similar app in another folder, and it runs fine.

I reckon from this there is omething either in the folder, or something missing, which is causing the VFP window not to show , but dont know what it is

>I'll take a guess. This isn't an SDI app, is it (Top-Level form)? If it is, perhaps the ShowWindow property got re-set from 2 to 0.
