>Tai, you're right, I don't use the AllowAddNew. At least in 5.0 there were some problems, so I developed my own technique. When my users down-arrow on the last record, I do an insert with the primary and foreign surrogate keys and any other information (date added, user) that I want to add automatically. If they complete this record, they can continue to add. If not, then when they down-arrow again they are asked if they want the blank record. Any record added but not edited by the user (I use GetFldState) is deleted automatically.
