And of course many colleges and universities are teaching Vbasic, and not VFP.
what's more, the colleges will probably not be changing to the VB .NET for some time to come, continuing to graduate VB6. One community college I am familiar with locally, has just decided to drop teaching the C language in favor of VB 6. They tell me that cirriculum changes are for at least 5 years, which suggests that teaching .NET is quite a ways down the road for their students.
